Tokeland Hotel
Our Labor Day Weekend was spent down at the family cabin in Tokeland. And no trip to that part of the PNW coast is complete without a meal (or in our case, two) at the Tokeland Hotel; a true hidden gem and must visit when traveling the Washington coast.
The Tokeland Hotel is the oldest hotel in Washington State (originally built in 1885) but has been maintained and updated in all the right ways. Every nook and cranny has something new and charming for you to discover and enjoy. The dining room menu balances a great mix of always available, Southern-inspired classics that you can come back to time and again alongside rotations of newer or more seasonal dishes that can be hefty but—in our experience— always hit the spot. When you’re done with your meal, if you’re not heading up to one of the recently updated rooms for a nap or hopping into your suit for a soak in the fire-heated hot tub, you can walk things off out on the flats or with a spin through the garden where crops and flocks are plentiful.
I hope you consider visiting, eating, staying, or all of the above! It really is quite a special place and one our family will be patrons of many, many years to come. Cheers!
